London police release image of suspect wanted in city shooting investigation

London police have released an image of a person wanted as part of a shooting investigation in London.

The incident happened June 13, 2025, and police say since then, Denis Lee Churchill, 38, of St. Thomas, has not been found and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

As previously reported, police were called around 2:25 a.m. on June 13 after receiving a report of what was believed to be several gunshots in the area of Emerald and Chelton roads.

Officers later confirmed multiple shots had struck a vehicle and the garage door of a residence on Emerald Road.

Police have said no one in the area was struck and no injuries were reported.

The investigation has since been reassigned to the London Police Service Guns and Gangs Section, which investigators say is actively following up on all leads.

Investigators believe the shooting was not random and was targeted at the residence.

The charges he is facing are as follows:

• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
• Discharge a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner
• Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.
• Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence
• Seven counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order

Police advise members of the public not to approach Churchill if spotted, as he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
