RCMP are asking for public’s help for their investigation of an alleged armed robbery.

At around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, Portage la Prairie RCMP were dispatched for an alleged armed robbery at a business on Saskatchewan Avenue West.

When officers arrived at the scene, an employee told them that a man in all black clothing and wearing a balaclava entered the store with a firearm and demanded money. The employee was not physically injured.

Police dogs assisted officers to patrol the area but did not find the suspect.

Any residents along 7th Street Northwest who may have video of the suspect are asked to contact the Portage la Prairie detachment at 204-857-4445.
