Around $32K worth of drugs seized after search warrant

Two people face drug trafficking charges after approximately $32,000 worth of drugs was seized, police said.

On Wednesday, police carried out a search warrant at an apartment suite in the 200 block of Adsum Drive as part of its drug trafficking investigation. Two people were taken into custody.

According to a media release, police seized approximately $62,500 worth of jewellery, approximately $32,400 worth of cocaine and fentanyl – each 374 grams and 8 grams, $11,142 in cash, a cell phone, drug packaging materials and identity documents.

Both people, a 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, now face drug trafficking charges. They were released on undertakings.

None of the charges have been tested in court.
