Wanted Brockville man arrested, drugs seized

A 31-year-old wanted man from Brockville is facing charges in connection to alleged driving and drug trafficking offences after a month-long investigation.

Ontario Provincial Police say its East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation into a suspect who was subject to an arrest warrant in February.

On Tuesday, police located and arrested the suspect and seized over 13 grams of suspected cocaine, over five grams of ecstasy, more than $500 in Canadian and U.S. cash and a cellphone.

The man faces three counts of operation while prohibited, two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and fail to comply with a probation order.

The suspect remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Wednesday.
