A 22-year-old man turned himself in to police Tuesday afternoon following an attack downtown over the weekend.
He is accused of stabbing and using bear spray on a victim shortly before 1 a.m. Aug. 18.
The accused surrendered just after 2:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at police headquarters, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in an update Wednesday.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack and remains in hospital in stable condition.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18.
He was released on an undertaking, Sudbury police spokesperson Sarah Kaelas told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email.
Police are calling the case an "isolated incident" with no threat to public safety.
