Edmonton tattoo artist charged with sexual assault

An Edmonton tattoo artist has been charged with sexual assault.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) says it is investigating several reported incidents involving Iskotew Gladu, 40, from 2025 and one dating back to 2021.

The reported incidents involve female clients.

Gladu was arrested on Saturday and charged with five counts of sexual assault.

He has been released on the following conditions:

• not to have contact with the complainants;
• not to be in possession of a weapon of any kind; and
• if he continues to be employed as a tattoo artist, he is not permitted to provide services to any client alone.

Gladu is known to have worked at at least two tattoo businesses in Edmonton, including ones at 118 Avenue and St. Albert Trail and Kingsway Mall.

Investigators believe there may be additional complainants.
