A mural at a Transcona church is garnering attention for its resemblance to an NFL superstar.
During an episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce claimed the painting at Tabour Baptist Church is the spitting image of Travis Kelce.
“How a man in the U.S. ever knows there’s a mural in Transcona, I have no idea,” said the church’s pastor Rod Giesbrecht in an interview on Wednesday.
The mural of Jesus was painted back in 2020.
Giesbrecht is surprised by the attention, adding that they didn’t set out to depict the football player as Jesus but says it’s possible that Travis just may look like Jesus.
As of Thursday morning, more than 400,000 people have seen the video of the mural on the New Heights Instagram page.
