CTV’s Taylor Brock has more on what this year’s Winnipeg Whiteout parties will look like during the NHL Playoffs.

The Winnipeg Jets Whiteout Street Party is back for another year as the Jets will soon be starting their quest for Lord Stanley’s Cup.

The Manitoba government announced funding Tuesday to put on festivities for all Winnipeg Jets home games in the playoffs.

The province is contributing $300,000 for “unforgettable game-day experiences.”

“To everybody out there across Manitoba, come downtown, come cheer on the Winnipeg Jets,” said Premier Wab Kinew. “Mayor (Scott) Gillingham and I are going to work together to make sure downtown is safe, the Jets organization is going to make sure it’s a winning team, and all of you are going to make sure this is the number one hockey town in the entire world.”

Kinew said the $300,000 will be divided into $75,000 per playoff round, and he hopes every dollar is spent.

“This is one area where I don’t mind us going over budget because if we have to plan another party at the end of the playoffs, what does that mean?”

As has been done in years past, the Street Party will happen on Donald Street between Portage Avenue and Graham Avenue outside Canada Life Centre. It will have a capacity for 5,000 fans, and people will also have access to The MET.

While the playoff schedule hasn’t been released yet, fans will be able to enter two hours before puck drop.

There will be food and other amenities available, and fans can watch the game on the big screens set up outside.

Tickets are $10, and half of that will go to United Way.

“Fans, get your face paint, your painter suits, your Elvis jumpers, your wedding dresses, your white wigs, and your clever signs, and get ready to join us for the 2025 Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties,” said Kevin Donnelly, the senior vice president of venues and entertainment for True North.

Party in the Plaza is also returning to True North Square. Gates will open three hours before game time. Food and entertainment will be available for the 1,200 fans in attendance.

Tickets will be $20, with $5 going to United Way.

Fans can get tickets for both events for the first two home games starting on April 15 through Ticketmaster.

Compared to years past, Jets fans are also being offered the opportunity to gather and cheer on the Jets for away games as well.

Whiteout Watch Parties will be happening inside Canada Life Centre for all road games. Fans can watch the games on the jumbotron and arena concessions will be available. Each fan will receive a rally towel.

Tickets will be $10, with proceeds going to the True North Youth Foundation.

The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs start on April 19. The Winnipeg Jets currently sit first in the NHL standings.
