Two more suspects allegedly involved in series of break and enters in rural Manitoba have been arrested, while RCMP are searching for another suspect who may be armed.
RCMP officers with the Portage la Prairie detachment responded to several thefts of property and off-road vehicles in the RM of North Norfolk early Sunday morning.
A 17-year-old female from Sandy Bay First Nation was arrested on April 6 in connection with the incident following a brief pursuit, the Manitoba First Nation Police Service said. The youth has been charged with four counts of unauthorized Possession of a firearm, dangerous driving and flight from police.
On Thursday, officers with RCMP and the Manitoba First Nation Police Service executed a search warrant at a home in Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation. An 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were both arrested and have been charged with multiple offences, including two counts of break and enter with intent, firearms offences and multiple stolen property charges.
Stolen items seized include a Dodge Ram 2500, a Can-Am Outlander, an air compressor and over $4,000 in Canadian currency.
RCMP have also issued an arrest warrant for James Allan Roulette of Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation in connection with the incident. Roulette, 20, is six-foot-two with a medium build, has black hair and brown eyes, and is believed to be in the area of Sandy Bay or Winnipeg.
RCMP say he may be armed and should not be approached. Anyone with information his location is asked to call RCMP at 204-857-4445 or Crime Stoppers.
RCMP continue to investigate.
