A 25-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after she was stabbed early Sunday morning.
Winnipeg police were called to a fight happening in the 600 block of Alexander Avenue around 3:35 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from several stab wounds. They provided her with emergency medical care before she was taken to hospital in unstable condition. Police said she was later upgraded to stable.
Police said the suspect or suspects took off before officers arrived and no arrests have been made in relation to the stabbing.
However, two people were arrested on warrants at the scene.
The major crimes unit has taken over the case and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers.
