Liberal Leader Mark Carney is set to make a stop in Manitoba today.
CTV News Winnipeg confirmed Carney will be in Winnipeg on Tuesday to take part in a rally with his supporters.
Carney will begin his morning in Winnipeg with a planned announcement in front of members of the media at 9:30. From there, Carney will join members of the Filipino community for lunch.
He will be attending a closed meeting with Manitoba’s premier, Wab Kinew, at 3 p.m.
Carney’s visit will end with a rally including local Liberal candidates at 6 p.m. The location has not been disclosed.
The Liberal leader’s visit comes days after Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre made a campaign stop in the city on Saturday.
During his visit, Poilievre pledged to speed up the development of the Port of Churchill and honour federal funding for the North End Sewage Treatment Plant.
The federal election is set for April 28.
