2021 Federal Election
Raquel Dancho was re-elected for a second term with 41.8 per cent of the vote. She has represented the area since 2019.
History
The riding was created in 2003 from the former ridings Winnipeg North- St. Paul, Winnipeg North Centre and a small part of Winnipeg Transcona.
It has been represented by the Conservative Party since its creation, except for 2015 to 2019, when MaryAnn Mihychuk represented the riding for the Liberals.
Boundaries
East St. Paul, West St. Paul and several north Winnipeg neighbourhoods, including Riverview, are part of the riding. The Chief Peguis Trail runs through the riding.
Demographics
The 2021 census found there are 91,480 people living in the riding, an increase from 84,077 reported in 2016. The riding is made up of 62.3 per cent people of European descent, 13.69 per cent of people of Southeast Asian descent, and has an Indigenous population of 10.74 per cent.
