The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating after a man was found dead in the city’s North End at the start of the week.
The investigation began around 10:30 a.m. on Monday when officers responded to a suspicious call in the 300 block of Pritchard Avenue. Officers found a victim’s body at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Diego Moscoza (Moscoza Jimenez), a Mexican citizen who had been living in Manitoba for the last two years.
Following an autopsy, his death was determined to be a homicide.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation and is looking to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Moscoza since the beginning of March 2025.
