Winnipeg’s Louise Bridge will be closed through the day on Friday.
The bridge on Higgins Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to allow bridge bearing repairs.
Pedestrian access on the west sidewalk will be maintained during the construction.
The bridge will be open for the morning and afternoon rush periods.
While it’s closed, drivers are recommended to use either the Provencher or Disraeli Bridge to cross the Red River while Louise Bridge is closed.
