School bus rolls over on Manitoba highway: RCMP

A brand new school bus being delivered to Winnipeg rolled into the ditch while being driven to the city.

Manitoba RCMP said officers responded around 3:15 p.m. on Monday to Highway 75 near Ste Agathe.

“A semi passed the bus in the passing lane, and that combined with the wind caused it to lose control and roll in the ditch,” RCMP said in an email to CTV News.

RCMP said there was only one person on the bus – a 36-year-old man who was driving it.

He was helped out of the bus by bystanders and suffered minor injuries.

RCMP said the bus was being delivered to Winnipeg from outside Manitoba.
