The Windsor Spitfires hosted the Soo Greyhounds Friday night, looking to punch a ticket to the second round of the OHL playoffs.
The Spitfires got off to a roaring start, taking a 6-2 lead out of the first period before the Greyhounds would claw their way back into the game.
But that would be as close as they got – with the Spits going on to win 8-4, securing a second round spot.
The playoff schedule still needs to be set as other series wrap up.
