Windsor, Ont. to see bitterly cold wind chills overnight Saturday

Windsorites will need to bundle up Saturday night with temperatures expected to plummet and strong wind gusts making things feel even colder.

According to Environment Canada, Windsor will see mainly cloudy skies and a 40 per cent chance of flurries on Saturday evening with skies clearing before morning. There will be sustained winds of 20 km/h as temperatures plummet to – 14C in the evening, but gusts of up to 40 km/h will have things feeling like – 24 with the wind chill overnight.

Things will be similar Sunday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a 40 per cent chance of flurries. Winds will be sustained at 30 km/h and gusts of up to 50 km/h. Sunday’s high will reach – 7 C, but with the wind it’ll feel like – 25 in the morning and – 16 in the afternoon.

A risk of snowfall returns for the start of the workweek, with cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of snow. It will be windy, which also means a risk of blowing snow. The daytime high will reach – 7 C.
