Two suspects charged in sexual assault of minor investigation: WPS

Two suspects have been charged in connection to a sexual assault of a minor.

On Tuesday, the Windsor Police Service launched an investigation following a report that a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by two adult men earlier in the day.

According to WPS, the victim agreed to meet with a man that added them as a friend on social media. The victim was with a group of her friends and was picked up by three unknown men and driven to a home.

Once the victim was there, two men allegedly locked her in a bedroom and forced her to perform sexual acts.

Later in the day on Tuesday, the first suspect was arrested. The second turned himself in the next morning.

A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old man are both charged with forcible confinement and sexual assault.

“We would like to remind the community that individuals can use digital platforms to target unsuspecting community members, often causing financial and personal harm,” said the WPS in a release on X.

“Officers caution against sharing personal information or arranging in-person meetings with unknown people.”
