The Chatham-Kent Police Service has laid charges after a suspect allegedly spit on a keypad at the CKPS building in Blenheim.

On Tuesday around 2:30 p.m., officers said video surveillance showed a man spitting on the keypad at the entrance of the building.

Previously, on March 16, the man was arrested and released with court conditions to not leave his home while under the influence of alcohol.

Around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the CKPS responded to a call regarding an unwanted person on Wellington Street in Blenheim. The same man caught on footage was found. Officers said the man displayed clear signs of intoxication.

The 29-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of failing to comply with a court order.
