Overnight flurries expected in Windsor-Essex

Windsor-Essex is expecting some flurries overnight Monday, according to CTV News Meteorologist Gary Archibald.

Monday is seeing a mix of sun and cloud, however it’s cold and windy. In the morning, Windsor saw temperatures below freezing.

“We’ll get up to 9 C this afternoon, our average high 12 C, our average low is now above the freezing mark at 2 C,” said Archibald.

“Tonight, still windy. We could see gusts in that 60 km/h plus range and we’re looking at some flurries late tonight through the overnight into a cold day Tuesday.”

Tuesday’s high is projected to be 2 C with a low around -3 C or -4 C.

Monday night: Partly cloudy. 40 per cent chance of flurries overnight. Winds northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h. Low -3 C, wind chill -11 C overnight.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and cloud. 40 per cent chance of flurries in the morning. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. High 2 C, wind chill -10 C in the morning.

Tuesday night: Cloudy periods with a 30 per cent chance of flurries. Low -4 C.

Wednesday: Increasing cloudiness, high 6 C.

Wednesday night: Cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries. Low 2 C.
