Local public health units add to growing list of measles exposures in Leamington, Chatham-Kent

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is warning the public of two possible exposure points for measles.

Erie Shores Walk-In Clinic

• 33 Princess St.
• March 6: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Main building entrance & Erie Shores Walk-In Clinic waiting room

Walmart Leamington

• 304 Erie St. south
• March 7: 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Main entrance

Erie Shores HealthCare

• 194 Talbot Street West, Leamington
• Thursday, March 6 at 6:50 p.m. - Friday, March 7 at 1:54 a.m.
• Main Emergency Department entrance, triage, Emergency Department

In addition, the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit has reported an additional case of measles exposure:

Blenheim Golden Eagles Gymnastics Club

• 245 Marlborough St., N Blenheim
• March 6: 6:30 p.m. – 9:40 p.m.

If you are unvaccinated the health unit asks that you monitor for symptoms for seven to 21 days from the date of exposure.

If you are immunocompromised, have a child 12 years of age or younger, or are pregnant, you are asked to contact the health unit as soon as possible, to confirm whether there are additional treatments that may be available to you.

The WECHU and Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit have previously reported additional cases of measles exposure in the region.
