McKay Avenue fire quickly brought under control: WFRS

An upgraded fire in the 1700 block of McKay Avenue was quickly brought under control by firefighters on Monday night.

According to the Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, 29 firefighters attended the scene, clearing the building of all people. A unit of a semi-detached home was involved.

The fire was brought under control in less than an hour, contained to one unit.

The fire investigator will assess to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.

Damage estimates are unknown at this time.
