Leamington death ruled a homicide: OPP

What started as a sudden death investigation in Leamington has now been ruled a homicide.

Police said around 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, crews responded to a home on Sherk Street for a wellbeing check and they found one person deceased.

The person has been identified as Anita Goodings, 83, of Leamington

The death was ruled a homicide following a postmortem.

According to police there is a limited description of a person of interest as it relates to the case. They are described as a white man with a muscular build.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident. Members of the community can expect to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
