OPP K9 Vinny, alongside his handler, Const. Brett Holland, successfully helped arrest a wanted suspect in connection to an attempted break-and-enter.

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Friday, LaSalle Police received a report of the incident in progress in the 2200 block of Bondy Street.

The LaSalle Police Service said the suspect was reportedly in a previous relationship with the victim and ran from the scene before police arrived.

Upon arrival, Vinny helped locate the wanted woman, who police believed was still in the area. Vinny successfully caught the suspect near the home.

The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital to be treated.

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with numerous Criminal Code offences.
