The Essex 73s have been named the Stobbs Division champions for the first time since 2017.

For the first time since 2017, the Essex 73’s are the Stobbs Division Champions.

Essex beat Lakeshore 5-3 to win the division title and ousted the reigning all-Ontario champions.

Patrick Mcmanus and Marcus Levesque each scored a pair of goals for the 73’s, who now advance to the Western Conference Championship.

They’ll face the Petrolia Flyers in the next round.

“We’ll have a practice on ground. we’ll start all over. I’ve seen too many times back when we were running, the show team would beat us and get beat oh, four straight. Only one year. Dresden. You know, only because that was their championship, right. And I’m worried about that with these guys But I think I could get them refocused,” said head coach Tony Piroski.
