ENWIN Utilities has sent crews to Orillia, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton to help with storm restoration efforts.

ENWIN Utilities has sent crews to restore power following an ice storm in Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and Orillia.

Initial crews were sent to Orillia earlier in the week. More crews have been sent to Chatham-Kent to replace critical infrastructure that was damaged.

“This storm has caused significant damage across parts of the province, and restoration efforts will require close coordination between utilities,” said Garry Rossi, president and CEO of ENWIN Utilities.

“We’re proud to contribute to the province-wide mutual aid effort and support the communities that have been hardest hit, all while continuing to maintain reliable service for our customers in Windsor.”

ENWIN said the crews sent to help with restoration will not impact Windsor-Essex’s service.
