Arson suspect arrested by WPS

The Windsor Police Service has arrested an arson suspect following a house fire.

On Tuesday around 5 a.m., emergency crews responded to an active fire at a home in the 3000 block of Grandview Street.

The fire was quickly put out and no injuries were reported. Damage was an estimated $75,000.

Police said after reviewing surveillance footage, it was determined the fire was set intentionally. The suspect was identified and arrested in the area.

A 40-year-old woman has been charged with arson causing property damage.
