65-year-old woman’s disappearance ‘highly suspicious’: Nanaimo RCMP

Mounties in Nanaimo are investigating what they describe as the “highly suspicious” disappearance of a 65-year-old woman.

Sherry Shelley was last seen Thursday evening, authorities said in a statement Saturday. She is believed to have been in Lantzville that night, potentially in her vehicle – described by police as a white, 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan.

“Investigators are treating her disappearance as highly suspicious, and the investigation is being conducted by the Nanaimo RCMP Serious Crime Unit,” the detachment said in the statement.
