Man arrested after random home invasions, assaults in Surrey

Doorbell camera video shows the suspect in apparently random Surrey home invasions that occurred Tuesday night.

A man was arrested after breaking into homes and assaulting people in South Surrey early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

Officers were called to a mobile home park near King George Boulevard and 160 Street around 1:30 a.m., a statement from the Surrey Police Service said. Paramedics treated two people for injuries and the suspect was arrested soon after police arrived.

“The matter is still under investigation, but at this time this appears to be a random incident, and the suspect is unknown to the victims,” the SPS said.

The suspect remains in custody.
