Drugs, guns, cash seized from two Prince George addresses

A large amount of cash, drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia have been seized following a search of multiple addresses in Prince George on Monday.

Police and the North District Emergency Response Team conducted two search warrants, the first shortly after 3 p.m. at a residence on the 4100 block of First Avenue.

Later that evening at 8 p.m., a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was carried out at a commercial housing facility on the 400 block of George Street, the Prince George RCMP said in a release Tuesday morning.

Multiple firearms, a large amount of Canadian currency, suspected illicit drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized from both residences, the statement said.

“Three people were arrested at the First Avenue residence and were later released pending the results of the full investigation,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“One man was arrested from the commercial dwelling unit and is being held in-custody until his next court appearance.”

The investigation is ongoing, said police.
