A man was stabbed Wednesday evening in Surrey’s Newton area, according to police.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the 7300 block of 128 Street around 6:30 p.m., where they found a man suffering from a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital in what police describe as serious, but stable condition.
Officers found and arrested three suspects, who are being held pending further investigation, police said.
“While early in the investigation and motive remains under investigation, police do not believe the incident is random in nature and there are no outstanding suspects,” the Surrey Police Service wrote in a statement.
