65-year-old man from China who went missing in Richmond Hill has been found: police

A 65-year-old man visiting from China who went missing in Richmond Hill on Wednesday has been found, York Regional Police say.

Police gave the update on Thursday afternoon.

They did not say where he was found, but police credited the media coverage and tips from the public in helping to bring the man back home to his family.

Police were concerned for the well-being of the man as he did not have access to a phone or money and had memory issues.

The inclement weather also prompted police to ramp up their search.
