Habitat: Most of these seals spend their time near shore

How do they survive? Ringed seals live in areas completely covered by ice to protect them from predators, and use their sharp claws to dig breathing holes through the ice.

Interesting Facts: They received their name for the ring-shaped marks on their coats.
