U of S Huskies continue to be recognized by Canada West for great play

Multiple U of S Huskies have been recognized by Canada West.

For the second consecutive week, multiple University of Saskatchewan Huskies players have been named Canada West BioSteel Players of the Week.

Huskies goaltender Julie Snider was named the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her play over the weekend. Snider posted back-to-back shutouts as the Huskies tied Calgary Oct. 4 and defeated Mount Royal University on Oct. 5.

On the men’s side, Huskies linebacker Charlie Parks was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.

The fourth-year defensive lineman recorded five tackles and had a sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery in a tight win over the Alberta Golden Bears on Oct. 4.

Last week Cheyenne Lehmann was named the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, and Lukas Scott was recognized as Football Special Teams Player of the Week.

Earlier this year Huskies linebacker Seth Hundeby was also recognized by Canada West as a Player of the Week.
