Saskatoon police investigating weekend stabbings

Police in Saskatoon are looking for suspects after two stabbing incidents on Saturday morning.

Shortly after 10 a.m., a 37-year-old man was taken to hospital for a stab wound and told police the incident occurred around 9 a.m. near the weir at 33rd Street East and Spadina Crescent East, a Saskatoon police news release said.

The victim’s cell phone was also taken, police added.

Police were then called to the 2300 block of 33rd Street West around 11 a.m. after a 26-year-old man reported being assaulted by three individuals in an unknown back alley.
