The Swift Current Broncos have been eliminated from the Western Hockey League’s playoffs in the first round by the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Swift Current was in a do-or-die situation down 3-1 in the series heading into Friday night’s game five in Medicine Hat.
The Broncos battled back to provide plenty of nervy moments for Medicine Hat fans packed into Co-op Place, but the Tigers ultimately prevailed to march on to Round Two.
Our season ends but not before we say thank-you to our 20 year olds one more time. Classy gesture from the Tigers organization to honour our 04's Reid Dyck, Carlin Dezainde & Hunter Mayo.

Medicine Hat star Gavin McKenna had a stellar first round.
The projected 2026 first overall pick totaled to 16 points (2G-14A) in just five games against the Broncos.
The Tigers will face the winner of the Prince Albert/Edmonton series in Round Two.
The Raiders were able to force a Game 6 with a 4-2 win last night at home.
Puck drop in that one goes Sunday at 4 p.m. SK time in Edmonton.
