Regina hosted the 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship on April 10 to 13 for both men and women’s divisions.

All 32 matches were played at the REAL District. Atlético Gatineau placed first in the men’s championship, winning 3-2 against 9 de Octubre FC Toronto.

As for the women’s, Team Saskatoon SK Impact FC took home the gold medal against the Underdogs FC Montréal in an electric 4-4 tie.

However, a block in extra time by goaltender Jayden Steinhauer led to a penalty against Quebec’s Jade Houmphanh – handing Saskatoon its second straight championship.

Futsal is a version of indoor soccer played on a gymnasium-style floor – known for its faster pace and style.
