The Regina U22 Rebels defeated the Outlook Ice Hawks 4-1 on Saturday to capture the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League (SJFHL) provincial championship in a third and deciding game.
Victoria Mann scored the game winner for the Rebels, who also got goals from Piper Ast, Nyah Lang and Brianna Westerman.
Regina also won game two of the series 5-2 after Outlook took game one of the series 4-3 in overtime.
The SFJHL is a league for female players from 18 to 22 years of age and was established to give women an opportunity to continue playing competitive hockey after finishing the high-school and U18 levels.
The 2024-25 season marked the second year for the league that currently has six teams with plans for expansion in the future.
Both the Rebels and the Ice Hawks finished on top of the regular season standings with 32 points each.
