The third season of the docuseries, Guardians of the North, held its premiere at the Kramer IMAX theatre on Friday.

The show follows the heroic efforts of firefighters in northern Saskatchewan as they battle massive wildfires,

The third season consists of six episodes that follow the personnel of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency in the 2024 wildfire season, which was an above average year for wildfires.

The show is also educational and shows how crews deal with wildfires of all sizes.

“What happens when a fire is attacking a community of a lodge, and the firefighters step up and save it? You get to see that side, you get to see their side, their concern, where you have a huge 200-foot flame coming towards you, and then you have these men and women that go in and beat it back and save the lodge or save the community,” explained Chris Triffo, producer for Wavelength Entertainment.

It takes about nine months to film, write, and edit a season of the program.
