Pair of rollovers in southern Saskatchewan leave two men dead

Two people are dead following two separate single vehicle rollovers in southern Saskatchewan over the weekend.

On Saturday, Jan. 25 at around 11:50 a.m., Carnduff RCMP responded to a report of a rollover on Rural Road 1312 northeast of Carievale, Sask.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.

He was identified as a 33-year-old from Argyle, Sask.

The second crash occurred Saturday evening near Moose Jaw, according to RCMP.

The service says its officers were called to the scene on Highway 1, located near Parkbeg, Sask. at around 9:55 p.m.

The driver, again the sole occupant of the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene by EMS.

He was identified as a 48-year-old from Dinsmore, Sask.

The families of both men have been notified, according to Saskatchewan RCMP.

Both crashes remain under investigation with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist.

Parkbeg is located approximately 127 kilometres west of Regina - while Carievale is located around 280 kilometres southeast of the provincial capital.
