A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered in Regina’s A.E. Wilson Park Sunday.
The Regina Police Service (RPS) announced that an investigation was underway early Sunday afternoon.
A large group of officers and around seven police vehicles were spotted near a body of water on the eastern edge of the park.
According to police, officers were called to the area of McCarthy Boulevard and Brunskill Place at 9:01 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of an adult man.
Due to the early stage of the investigation, RPS provided no further details, including the identity of the deceased.
Several units from RPS, in addition to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service and Regina Fire and Protective Services attended the scene Sunday morning.
