Eastbound traffic on Highway 1 between Regina and Moose Jaw was slowed to a standstill Sunday morning – as workers attempted to clean up the site of a crash involving multiple semis.
The crash occurred approximately two kilometres west of Grand Coulee, according to Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline.
Witness accounts from the scene describe three semis involved in the incident – two in the ditch while one remained jack-knifed – blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic.
Crews eventually cleared one lane to allow traffic to pass by. As of 10:10 a.m. – the road remained partially blocked.
The Highway Hotline advised commuters to proceed with caution in the area or to find an alternative route.
