Shots fired at business in Ottawa’s west end

Surveillance footage from an Ottawa business shows two people running up to the building and apparently shooting at the windows.

Ottawa police are investigating after shots were fired at a business in Ottawa’s west end.

In an email to CTV News Ottawa, Coco Auto Service says there was a “serious shooting incident” at its location on Carling Avenue at 10:40 p.m. Monday.

“Unidentified individuals discharged a firearm, causing significant property damage and endangering the safety of our staff and customers,” the business said.

“Fortunately, no one was physically injured in the attack. However, the emotional and economic toll on our team and the community is considerable.”

A video sent to CTV News Ottawa shows two people running up to the building, pointing something at the glass window, and then running away seconds later.

A CTV News Ottawa cameraman found broken windows at the front of the building Tuesday afternoon.

Police told CTV News Ottawa a shooting was reported to investigators Tuesday morning. No other information was released.
