Ahead of tonight’s Ottawa Senator’s game, over 100 local leaders and professionals will gather at the Royal Oak inside the Canadian Tire Centre.

Women’s Powerplay: Connections & Community is billed as a chance to create new relationships, strengthen existing ones and be part of a growing community of women.

Organizers say it will be an inspiring night of networking connection and hockey where women can come together with like minded professionals.

A portion of the proceeds of each ticket will go towards causes that ensure access to women in sports.

Earlier this year, the first Power Play Women in Business event was held in front of a sold-out room.

The Ottawa Senators will take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at 7 p.m.
