A G2 driver going 64 km/h over the speed limit was one of four drivers charged with stunt driving on Ottawa roads this weekend.
The Ottawa Police Service’s Traffic Escort and Enforcement Unit says an officer observed a 17-year-old driver travelling 124 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Standherd Drive Saturday night.
Police say the driver had three friends with them in dad’s car.
The driver is facing a charge of stunt driving, which includes an automatic 30-day licence suspension, and the vehicle is impounded for 14 days.

Three drivers were also stopped for stunt driving in Ottawa’s east end during Saturday’s inclement weather.
Police say a driver was observed going 118 km/h on the Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway. The speed limit is 60 kilometres an hour.
Drivers were also stopped going 135 km/h and 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 174 in Ottawa’s east end.
