2 youths responsible for threat targeting Prescott, Ont. school: OPP

Two young people have been identified following a bomb threat at an elementary school in Prescott. Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a reported threat at St. Mark Catholic School on McAuley Street prior to the start of the school day on Monday. The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario said the school received a bomb threat on its voicemail.

The school was temporarily closed and students were transported to South Grenville District High School for several hours while police investigated.

On Wednesday, police said the Grenville County OPP Crime Unit identified two young people responsible for the message.

The youths, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will be dealt with “utilizing community support programs,” according to police.
