The body of a man who appears to have been shot to death was found inside a truck in the garage of a Sudbury home Sunday afternoon, police say.

Officers were called to a home on Lansdowne Street near Baker Street in the Donovan area shortly before 3:25 p.m. April 6, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release.
“We believe that this, at this time, was not a random attack,” Det. Staff Sgt. Barry Ornella told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an interview.
“The investigation so far suggests that this was not a random shooting.”
Monday morning, a Sudbury police cruiser was parked in front of a brick house that was cordoned off with yellow caution tape.
“A Black 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 was found in a garage and there appeared to be an unresponsive man inside,” police said.
“Firefighters gained entry into the vehicle and paramedics confirmed the individual was deceased. It is believed that the individual sustained a gunshot wound.”
Police have not determined where the shooting took place.

Neither the victim’s identity nor the cause of death has been confirmed yet. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
“Officers cleared the residence at the address on Lansdowne Street and confirmed no occupants were inside,” police said.

“Officers continue to investigate the connection between the vehicle and the address where it was located.”
