The Sudbury Artisans Collective is set to open its Makers Co-Op Shop to the public Saturday, offering a space for locally crafted goods and hands-on workshops.

Located at 43 Elm St., Unit 110, the shop features work from more than 45 local artists and makers. Co-founders Jessica Lamirande and Kelly Hanninen launched the collective after winning Sudbury Downtown’s Win This Space competition.

“This will be the go-to place for one-of-a-kind art that’s fun, original and a little risky,” Lamirande said, in a news release this week.

“We believe art should make you laugh and bring joy.”

To celebrate the opening, he Sudbury Artisans Collective will host free workshops Saturday on wildflower seed bombs and ceramic pot painting for participants aged seven and up.
