One person is in custody and a shelter-in-place advisory has ended in Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday morning.

There had been a large police presence in the area of Fauquier Avenue between Ferris Avenue, Trelawne Avenue, and MacDonald Avenue, prompting the advisory.

Police said later in the morning that a suspect had been arrested.

“One person has been taken into custody. No physical injuries have been reported,” police said.

“Officers remain on scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Traffic in the area has resumed normal flow.”
