Sault police are investigating an incident of theft at the Shoppers Drug Mart location in the Cambrian Mall last month.

On March 23, according to police, an unknown male and female entered the location and took “several” and concealed them in bags before leaving the store.

Confronted by security

“The suspects were confronted by security in the mall,” said officials with Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District in a news release.

“But refused to return to the store.”

Authorities recovered one of the bags, but the suspects fled the mall with a second bag containing approximately $50 worth of merchandise.

Portions of the incident were captured by video surveillance cameras and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect.

“Do you recognize these individuals,” Crime Stoppers asked in its news release.
